The AITAI Fellows Program recognises and connects distinguished leaders who are shaping Australia’s AI future. Fellows are accomplished professionals and researchers making significant contributions to AI across research, policy, industry, and education.

What is an AITAI Fellow?

AITAI Fellows are thought leaders who:

• Have demonstrated expertise in AI, data science, or related fields

• Are actively contributing to Australia’s AI ecosystem

• Align with AITAI’s mission of building a prosperous, AI-enabled society

• Are committed to knowledge sharing and mentorship

Fellow Responsibilities

Fellows are expected to:

• Contribute expertise through roundtables, advisory groups, or mentorship

• Support AITAI’s research and advocacy agenda where appropriate

• Represent AITAI’s values in public discourse

• Participate in at least 2 AITAI activities per year

Areas of Focus

We seek Fellows across all three AITAI pillars:

• Advocacy & Policy: Government advisors, policy experts, ethics specialists

• Research: Academic researchers, data scientists, AI/ML practitioners

• Impact: Startup founders, industry leaders, investors, educators

How to Become a Fellow

Fellowship is by invitation or nomination. If you’d like to nominate yourself or someone else, please submit:

• CV/LinkedIn profile

• Brief statement on contribution to Australia’s AI ecosystem

• Names of two referees

We review nominations quarterly and will be in touch if your profile aligns with our current needs.
